I’m going on a business trip next week to Southern California. I am flying down and will rent a car down there. I have not seen any companies renting cars running on SVO but I did find one that rents hybrid vehicles. The company is called EV Rental Cars and is currently offering vehicles in 9 US cities. These cities include:

• San Diego
• San Francisco
• San Jose
• Oakland
• Los Angeles (LAX)
• John Wayne
• Las Vegas
• Phoenix

In addition to the regular assortment of vehicles, they offer the Toyota Prius, Toyota Highlander SUV and the Honda Civic. In addition to saving the environment, renting a hybrid allows you to ride in the carpool lane (CA only) and saves money at the pump.

The company’s website says that they plan to add 500 hybrid vehicles to their Las Vegas fleet next year alone.
